Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join the IRS Reporting Team as part of Commercial Mortgage Servicing. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.
In this role, you will:
- Learn and support multiple processes related to IRS reporting and tax withholdings.
- Support W-8 & W-9 reporting of taxes, as well as prepare year end statement for borrowers
- Report operational losses across Commercial Mortgage Servicing, managing a general mailbox for reporting and various internal requests
- Analyze and compare reports to identify the population of withholdings, accommodations, and exceptions/exclusions, which may vary by portfolio, and coordinate across business partners to resolve discrepancies/barriers
- Ensure adherence to compliance, legal, and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
- Provide updates on project logs and operations reviews
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of IRS reporting, tax withholding, or commercial mortgage tax experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong accounting experience
- Detail oriented
- The ability to meet deadlines and work in a deadline driven environment
- Experience with IRS Reporting on commercial real estate loans
- Experience with TAXIE
- Reporting experience
