About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT). We are seeking an experienced full-stack developer who will lead strategic initiatives for Asset Based Lending line of business within Commercial Lending and Credit Finance (CLCFS) Technology team. In this role you will lead initiatives starting from the evaluation of complex business requirements to design, coding, and testing of solutions, while utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. You will be empowered to always take the initiative, propose ideas, and innovate to enable modernization and Cloud adoption.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of full stack development experience
  • 5+ years of C#.NET or VB.NET experience
  • 5+ years of SQL Server experience
  • 3+ years of GitHub experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning experience
  • 5+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, React JS, Ext JS, Kendo UI and/or Angular JS)
  • 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 4+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • 4+ years of experience developing cloud native applications
  • 4+ years of experience building and supporting applications in financial services
  • Knowledge and understanding of test-driven application development, writing Unit tests, Test Automation
  • Knowledge of Power BI
