The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Within EFT we are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with M365 Search, Azure Active Directory Dynamic Groups, advanced SharePoint engineering, OneDrive integration, and a solid foundation in operational risk management within cloud environments.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of M365 collaboration services within a regulated enterprise environment
  • Own and manage the M365 tenant configuration, ensuring alignment with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FINRA, SEC)
  • Develop and enforce governance, compliance, and data retention policies across collaboration platforms
  • Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure tenant configurations support audit readiness and data protection mandates
  • Monitor tenant health, usage, and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • Stay informed on Microsoft’s roadmap and assess the impact of upcoming changes on the institution’s collaboration strategy
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and operational support teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience managing the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including core features that span multiple services, including Purview, Integrated Applications, Copilot, Search, and License Management
  • 4+ years of experience within the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem, specifically SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Search
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating production configuration changes in M365, preferably using modern infrastructure as code principles (CI/CD)


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a lead or senior infrastructure engineer in a cloud-first enterprise, with expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online) and hybrid integration with on-premises infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure AD, Conditional Access, identity lifecycle management, and Microsoft 365 Search, including Microsoft Graph API, search schema customization, and compliance integration
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation of M365 administrative tasks
  • Experience with Copilot and the Power Platform; Microsoft certifications such as MS-700, MS-500, or Power Platform/Dynamics credentials are preferred
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like Jira
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement, risk management, and execution orientation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Experience working in regulated industries (preferably financial services), with knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or FFIEC
  • Self-starter with strong planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills, capable of working independently in a structured environment

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
