About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a strong Analyst to join our Financial Solutions Group - Debit Capital Markets (DCM) Advisory function based in London.

The Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division of Wells Fargo Wholesale coordinates client coverage and effectively aligns our resources and capabilities to meet the needs of our clients.

The Financial Solutions Group is part of Banking and Capital Markets (BCM). The group is a multi-disciplinary advisory and solutions team providing bespoke content and idea generation for clients across Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Corporate Banking (CBG) within EMEA Corporate Investment Bank.

Working together with client teams in EMEA and specialists in both EMEA and the US, the group brings together both local and global expertise to enhance client engagement and deepen relationships.

The group focuses on delivering content to clients in the following disciplines:

  • Capital Advisory
  • Balance Sheet Advisory
  • Liability Management
  • Environmental Social Governance (ESG)
  • Ratings Advisory

In this role, you will:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering primary analytical analysis and content alongside experienced members of the DCM Advisory team
  • Working closely with the other members of the DCM Advisory team to develop the analysis and content required to deliver results and to enhance execution prospects
  • Preparing marketing documents, including pitch materials and management presentations.
  • As the group expands the candidate will have the opportunity to develop into a specialist in one of the main disciplines whilst also maintaining cross-discipline coverage analytical support


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Investment Banking, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to find solutions to complex financial problems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills
  • Proven academic performance. Educated to BSc level strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate high level of personal motivation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and a broad intellectual capacity.
  • Must be comfortable functioning both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and work quality standards.
  • Able to learn quickly and apply critical thinking skills to achieve objectives for both internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, including ability to coordinate multiple work streams and deliver against tight timelines.
  • With right to work in the UK

Job Expectations:

This position is deemed to be a Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. You must at all times remain fit and proper to perform your role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis
