About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced leader in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Data Management organization to lead the execution and governance of CIB’s Data Management Program. The CIB Data Management organization provides thought leadership into line of business data strategy, supports the development of a simplified data environments to support line of business needs, and serves our internal business customers through data advisory and data management support services. The team supports multiple business-sponsored, multi-year transformation initiatives and regulatory efforts, and provides dedicated capital markets subject matter expertise to solve enterprise data issues.
The CIB Senior Lead Data Management Analyst will work collaboratively with members of various CIB business units, Finance, Risk, CIB Operations, and other teams to identify, articulate, and deliver solutions that enable key business initiatives and/or mitigate risk. The successful candidate will have a broad and solid understanding of the CIB business, its Data Domain, and is passionate about leading transformational change. They will also be expected to understand and implement the Data Management Policy requirements along with the broader team.
This role requires advanced relationship and communication skills as you will partner with three key areas: data clients – downstream data consumers and their tech teams; data product owners – authorized data provisioning product teams and their tech teams; and data suppliers – Lines of Business systems of record and system of origin product teams and their tech teams.

In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- Represent clients in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
- Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
- Manage the data defect strategy for CIB including intake, impact analysis, remediation plan development, and monitoring of closure, and with impact across the business
- Develop and execute data defect management controls in support of second- and third-line risk management testing activities.
- Monitor and report on CIB data defect metrics to senior leaders and committees
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of finance, data management, business research, analytics, or project management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7+ years of experience in capital markets, securities, investment banking, securities operations, financial services or similar
Desired Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relationship management or project experience with business and technology partners to achieve shared objectives
- Solid working knowledge of one or more of the following: corporate and investment banking; capital markets; finance / controllers financial reporting; regulatory reporting; credit risk; counterparty risk
- 2+ years proven thought leadership demonstrated in complex, multiple workstream initiatives
- 2+ years of leading or participating in efforts that elicit, synthesize, and document business requirements, conduct analysis, and design solution
- Regulation experience such as QFC Recordkeeping, QFC Stay, Dodd-Frank, BCBS 239, or similar
- Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
- Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
- Professional presentation skills with the ability to effectively present complex material visually to senior leaders and executives
- Solid conflict management and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and client centric focus
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

New York, NY: $138,500 - $287,600
