Reporting to the head of Brand Design and Experience, this role is the creative force behind our brand’s visual storytelling. This position will lead the strategy, development, and execution of all branded imagery — including photography, video, and illustration — shaping how our brand connects with diverse audiences across multiple channels. As the steward of our visual language, you’ll define and evolve how we express our identity across consumer, business, and affluent segments. This is an individual contributor role that collaborates closely with brand designers, writers, and campaign teams to deliver consistent, compelling, and impactful image content. This position in San Francisco, CA offers a hybrid work schedule. The Wells Fargo job profile is Lead Graphic Designer.
In this role, you will:
Lead creative direction, editing, and production workflows for brand photography, video, and illustration
Define image styling guidelines and curate content aligned with brand tone, audience, and storytelling goals
Manage photo retouching, light video editing, and post-production for both in-house and agency-developed assets
Ensure consistent, high-quality imagery across all brand channels in partnership with campaign and environment teams
Collaborate on art direction for photo and video shoots; manage freelance and agency partners
Maintain and evolve the image library, file delivery processes, and visual usage standards
Champion accessibility, inclusivity, and authenticity in all visual content
Partner with the Brand Heritage team to integrate historic imagery and fine art assets
Manage licensing and curation of stock imagery libraries
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Graphic Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience directing photography, video production, and illustration to support brand storytelling
Experience developing and maintaining brand systems and visual identity frameworks
Experience translating strategic brand objectives into compelling and cohesive visual narratives
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator)
Experience ensuring brand consistency and visual quality across multiple channels and formats
Experience presenting creative concepts and visual strategies to stakeholders at all levels

333 Market Street - San Francisco, CA ($100,800 - $179,200)
