About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will support (EFT) The Enterprise Functions Technology group. EFT provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This Lead Software Engineer will be adept in modern data lake technology stack, will have the ability to scale across five or more scrum teams, and is able to communicate effectively with Senior business leaders.


In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release
  • Serve as a peer mentor for agile development team or teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5 + years of Python work experience
  • 5 + PySpark work experience
  • 4+ yrs of experience leading high-performing, agile software teams
  • 4+ years' experience with SDLC tools and processes including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Maven or Gradle


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • 4+ years of AI and ML concepts, including deep learning, natural language processing pipelines for data analysis and insights generation.
  • Experienced in SQL and BigQuery handling data storage and retrieval efficiently.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement large scale/complex software applications
  • Experience with Dremio intelligent lake house platform

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$133,300.00 - $237,100.00
