About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant.

Part of Wholesale Operations group, supporting the expansion of Digital and Intelligent Automation capabilities.

In this role, you will be part of the Wholesale Operational Excellence team, driving strategic change across Wholesale Operations. This centralized model brings structure, consistency, and execution rigor to initiatives aligned with Wholesale Operations’ strategic and risk priorities.

We’re looking for a transformation lead with a strong background in Digital and Intelligent Automation, proven experience in Agile delivery, and a track record of acting as an internal consultant to solve complex business challenges. You will operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams under tight timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading stakeholder engagements to identify challenges, risks, and gaps in current automation processes.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions using platforms such as (but not limited to) Celonis, PowerApps, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, to drive automation, workflow optimization, and enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Driving measurable outcomes that enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client experience.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, including feature development, enhancements, and integrations that exceed customer expectations
  • Lead operational and support functions across multiple business groups, contributing to enterprise-level strategic initiatives
  • Manage the full product lifecycle – from concept through launch, covering planning, development, testing, and release
  • Ensure operational excellence by driving efficiency, quality, cost-effectiveness, and robust pipeline management
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives, leveraging a strong understanding of organizational strategy and global business execution
  • Act as an internal consultant, independently providing recommendations and leadership to support functions
  • Support planning and execution of programs focused on risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experience
  • Collaborate with team leaders to develop project plans, policies, and procedures that align with business goals
  • Provide cross-functional leadership, managing relationships and driving implementation of programs, services, and initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading change management and large-scale transformation initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced data analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic insights
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams within a matrixed program structure, with expertise in Low Code/No Code development, data analysis, intelligent automation, workflow and case management, and OCR technologies
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including eliciting requirements, writing user stories, documenting processes, and creating test cases
  • Proven ability to deliver iterative features and MVPs aligned with evolving business needs
  • Experience in designing and reporting Operational Scorecard metrics to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and design sessions, gathering requirements from Line of Business SMEs and senior leadership to drive business outcomes
  • Strong collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience coordinating functional and user acceptance testing with data partners and business users
  • Solid understanding of operational processes in financial services, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to act as a liaison between development teams, data analysts, Commercial Banking Operations managers, and senior executives
  • Certifications such as CSPO, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile are a strong advantage
  • Hands-on experience with platforms like Celonis, PowerApps, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable
