About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Middleware Operations India team. This role demands deep technical expertise in middleware technologies, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a proactive approach to automation and operational excellence.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Middleware Administration across Windows, Linux and AIX environments.
  • Expertise in managing and supporting a wide range of middleware technologies, including Application and Web Servers: Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS and Messaging Platforms: IBM MQ, Kafka, Solace.
  • Strong expertise in patching, installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and environment builds.
  • Experience in creating and managing MQ objects (Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, etc.), working with MQ AMS, and supporting large distributed clusters across zLinux, Linux, and AIX. Skilled in managing WMB topologies and performing ACE upgrades.
  • Proficient in platform setup, topic and partition management, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect (source/sink connectors). Experienced in cluster security, quota tuning, and platform setup with MRC and SBK.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up Solace environments (Active/Active and Active/Passive), and creating objects (VPNs, Users, ACLs) using CLI and SolAdmin.
  • Experience conducting Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) tests, retrospectives, and maintaining BCP documentation.
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Shell or Python.
  • Strong understanding of deployment tools such as UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)/Harness and automation using Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience in SSL certificate management using Venafi.
  • Proficient in monitoring and observability tools including AppDynamics, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Working knowledge of Java/J2EE platforms to support administrative tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in automating administrative tasks using scripting.

  • Experience using ITSM Service Now application.
  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data using pivot tables.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio) skills.
