About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant
In this role, you will:
Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of Power BI Cloud experience with strong capability to design and maintain data flows.
2+ years’ experience in PowerApps & Automate with capability to design complex workflows and automations.
Advanced level skills in data visualization tools (iPower BI Cloud) with hands on experience building and maintaining visualizations
Experience with data querying tools such as SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SAS, Alteryx
In depth knowledge of Wells Fargo database environments (CBDW, C2T/MDSS, BMG, EIW)
Experience mentoring and serving as a peer-coach to other analysts with the ability to transfer skills and knowledge to peers
Experience with Agile methodologies
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Strong presentation skills – written and verbal, and the ability to adapt to multiple audiences
Strong critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus and a passion for the customer experience and the employee experience
Ability to take apart existing processes to find the issue and build a new process to resolve it
Ability to create and execute on logical process flows
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage processes, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Proven success building and maintaining strong credible relationships with key stakeholder
Job Expectations:
Lead the design and implementation of reports, dashboards, and data flows across various topics and define required supporting data architecture.
Support simple to complex ad-hoc reporting requests
Advise line of business, companywide functions, and more experienced leadership on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, predictive scenario modeling, and other complex data to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
Manipulate and process large datasets using analytical and reporting features of multiple tools.
Provide leadership in the identification and development of new reporting concepts and designs.
Define requirements for and test data sources for reporting.
Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide guidance and training to teams in asking appropriate questions, interpreting data, and translating into action.
Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
Assist managers and leaders in building reporting dashboards for business partners supported
Mentor or manage more less experienced staff, interns, and external contractors
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Solid understanding of Business Intelligence projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
Responsible for ideating and providing high quality Analytical solutions which focuses on current and predictive business strategies using new age tools.
Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau to support business decision-making across Consumer Finance.
Leverage Alteryx and SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Teradata, Essbase and other enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Utilize Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline business processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance user experience within the ecosystem.
Working closely with US partners, interacting closely with multiple business partners anchor program managers
Establish and enforce data governance, security, and reporting standards to ensure compliance and data integrity across all analytics initiatives.
Hands-on experience with GPT, LLaMA or similar models including fine tuning and prompt engineering.
Proficiency in Python, Langchain, vector databases (Pinecone, Chromadb, FAISS etc) and API integration.
Strong skill in data preprocessing, embeddings and building RAG pipelines.
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) containerization (Docker) and CI/CD for AI models.
Ability to design scalable AI solutions, evaluate model performance and optimize for real-world use cases.
Interact / coordinate with different teams to proactively raise any specific issues or challenges around the business and work independently with the concerned teams to resolve issues.
Candidate should ensure faster turnaround time on query handling and ad-hocs if any, with good understanding of change management and its likely impacts and consequences. Provide detailed analysis, trend analysis and high level recommendations.
Performing most complex variance and trend analysis; communicating and providing guidance to business partners regarding relevant financial policies
Ability to perform complex analyses, build financial models, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations to business leaders.
