Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Analytics Consultant in Irving, TX.
Job Role and Responsibility:
Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards. Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data. Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed. Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews. Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported. Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors. Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo. Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions. Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative. Remote / telecommute work available, up to 2 days per week. Position required to appear in person at the location listed as the work address.

Required Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving data analytics experience.
Specific skills required:
- Hands-on coding experience including SAS, Python, Tableau, and SQL;
- Modeling experience including regression, decision tree, machine learning;
- Experience with problem solving and decision making skills leveraging analytics;
- Ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems;
- Experience in proactive detection of patterns and trends;
- Experience in developing data driven insights uncover data anomalies, trends, and actionable analysis;
- Ability to synthesize/translate data for executive consumption;
- Adept in data analysis tools and programming including R, Python, SQL, and SAS
