About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a 1st year Investment Banking Analyst to join our CIB Leveraged Debt Capital Markets team.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in analyzing companies, developing strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research, and assisting senior bankers on the execution of Left Lead transactions in the institutional loan and high yield capital markets
- Review strategies for clients, analyze market data, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets team
- Maintain a database of institutional loan and high yield transactions
- Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment, while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external clients
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Bachelor's degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
- Experience in investment banking
- Professional experience through internships, part-time or full-time work, and/or extracurricular activities
- Dedication to building a career in investment banking

- Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
- Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Additional Compensation Details:
- Base Pay: $110,000
- May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
