Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Director within Small & Business Banking. This dynamic leader will drive strategic business execution initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and deliver long-term value.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
  • Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
  • Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
  • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Coverage Model & Staffing: Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of processes related to coverage model, banker staffing, and placement of bankers.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Map and continuously improve the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to post-sale handoff across all channels. Define key sales stages and criteria, identify bottlenecks, and streamline workflows to enhance employee capacity and customer experience.
  • Compensation & Incentives: Partner with HR team to design sales compensation and incentive plans and monitor the
    adoption and efficacy of incentive programs based on performance data.
  • Banker Productivity Program: Develop and maintain an “always on” banker productivity plan across all roles, segments, and geographies, that tracks to and with performance feedback loop, enablement, initiatives, and outcome to get peak performance on bankers by tenure.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Strategic Leadership experience with proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives
  • Process Optimization experience; designing and implementing end to end process improvements including sales workflow optimization and coverage models.
  • Strong ability to interpret performance metrics and leverage data for decision-making, incentive design, and productivity programs.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and aligning diverse teams toward common strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cultural and operational transformation across multiple business units
  • Understanding of financial services, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.
