Business Background

The Asset Backed Finance (ABF) group provides asset-backed financing solutions to customers, including bank and non-bank financial institutions, corporates, mortgage companies, asset managers and private equity. ABF structures loans to be held by the Bank or sold as securities to institutional investors. The group provides direct structured lending and access to the public capital markets. ABF works closely with Markets Sales and Trading to utilize their distribution and trading capabilities.

Programme Overview

The EMEA Early Careers Programme is a 24-month experience that develops your skills in Markets within Corporate & Investment Banking. As a graduate analyst, you will build leadership capabilities, deepen your product and market knowledge, and gain a broad understanding of how Wells Fargo operates across the region.

Your journey begins with immersive training in the United States alongside analysts from around the world. You will cover financial accounting, cash flow, credit analysis, product structuring, corporate valuation, and financial modelling. You will return to your desk equipped to make an immediate impact.

In this role you will

Partner/support the deal team and/or lead banker(s) including but not limited to:

  • The credit risk underwriting, structuring and execution of ABF transactions both for private financing as well as for the public securitised markets.
  • Interaction with the internal control functions, internal legal and external counsel, rating agencies; strong involvement with the approval process from the business standpoint.
  • Build out of the relevant infrastructure for the efficient booking of transactions, on-going management and monitoring of risk/performance.
  • Providing support to the origination teams within Banking and Capital Markets when required.
  • Providing Management Information (Ml) and escalating any material matters on an ongoing basis to the relevant managers to support the fulfilment of their oversight responsibility as per applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Final year graduate with the ability to start the role in June 2026.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Have a keen interest in Financial Markets.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong communicator and presenter.

Job Expectations

This position is deemed to be a Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. You must at all times remain fit and proper to perform your role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
