Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Specialist in Operations as part of the CTRRG Exemptions Team. Currency Transaction Regulatory Reporting Group (CTRRG) is responsible for timely and accurate filing of Currency Transaction Reports with FinCEN in accordance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements. The CTR Exemption team is responsible for the establishment and renewal of qualified CTR Exemptions. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
In this role, you will:
- Research and resolve moderately complex operational tasks, accountable for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure to include originating source documents, data adherence to regulations, processing payments, resolve discrepancies and process unique rejects or exceptions
- Work under close supervision, follow established procedures, identify opportunities to determine appropriate course of action within defined scope of responsibility
- Review and analyze inquiries and operational challenges that require research, evaluation
- Consult with management for more complex issues to assist with appropriate course of required action
- Analyze and present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing of understanding of policies, procedures and compliance regulations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Review and research CTR production cases. as required by Financial Crimes Enforcement Network(FinCEN) to ensure accuracy and completeness as defined by Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) policy and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- CTR – Currency Transaction Reporting experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the OIB (Operations Image Browser) system
- Knowledge and understanding of Hogan
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office Skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to research and analyze highly confidential customer information and transaction data
- Ability to handle detailed work with accuracy and meet regulatory deadlines without exception
- Adaptable and supportive of a changing environment and meeting time sensitive deliverables
- Ability to navigate multiple computer system windows and applications
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work department office schedule (in office 3 days per week)
