Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer within the Fraud and Claims Technology organization. This role is critical in driving the delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable technology solutions that protect our customers and the bank.

In This Role, You Will:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers working on moderately complex and high-risk initiatives
Ensure alignment with platform architecture and non-functional requirements for each release
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement technical strategies and enable application modernization (e.g., cloud readiness, data strategy)
Serve as the technical representative in cross-functional planning and collaboration efforts
Drive resolution of technical roadblocks across code, build, and deployment processes
Act as an escalation partner for scrum teams, helping remove impediments and fostering continuous improvement
Participate in code reviews, guide design decisions, and build engineering skills within the team
Ensure security, stability, and scalability across technology functions
Partner with Product Managers to influence roadmaps, prioritize technology needs, and advocate for agile and DevOps practices
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology service providers
Allocate resources effectively to meet strategic objectives
Hire and develop talent, fostering a culture of innovation and performance
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience with enterprise-scale data architecture and governance, including designing secure, compliant, and optimized data solutions across hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Desired Qualifications:
Financial industry experience
Extensive engineering testing and analysis experience of private or public Cloud technology services
Data streaming experience such as Apache Kafka, Azure Stream Analytics or GCP Data Flow
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server etc.
Knowledge and understanding of non-relational databases, such as MongoDB, Neo4j etc.
Data modeling experience
ETL development experience with Informatica or Ab Initio
Apache Spark development experience using Scala, Java, or Python
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00Benefits
