About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Analyst to support critical initiatives within the Global Payments & Liquidity Treasury Technology organization. This role focuses on requirements analysis, payment-domain expertise, and collaboration across technology and business teams to ensure successful delivery of payment capabilities.
Responsibilities
Work with product owners, business partners, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements for engineering teams.
Assess impacts of new features, regulatory changes, and modernization initiatives on existing payment flows and system components.
Participate in solution discussions with architects and engineers, ensuring requirements align with enterprise standards and system capabilities.
Support testing efforts (system testing, UAT, regression), create test scenarios, validate outcomes, and facilitate defect triage.
Collaborate cross‑functionally on changes related to payment processing, ISO 20022 readiness, routing logic, and application configuration.
Analyze production issues, assist with root‑cause identification, and recommend improvements to workflows and operational processes.
Support documentation updates, process improvements, release readiness activities, and user onboarding as needed.
Partner with distributed teams across multiple time zones and help ensure clarity, alignment, and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a related role within technology or financial services
4+ years experience presenting to senior and executive management
Desired Qualifications
Experience with payment systems such as ACH and/or Wires.
Strong understanding of the global payments domain and clearing networks (FED, CHIPS, CHAPS, TARGET, SWIFT).
Experience participating in ISO 20022 implementation or migration projects.

Strong knowledge of various payment message formats including:
ISO 20022: PACS, PAIN, CAMT
SWIFT MT series (MT1xx, MT2xx, MT9xx, as applicable)
Well versed with market directory files like SwiftDirectroty, BicdirectroyPlus files.
Experience supporting NFR‑related validation such as resilience, RTO/RPO, or high‑availability testing
Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed and virtual team environments.
Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
Understanding of ACI MTS concepts including routing rules, remote records, and line configurations (awareness‑level)
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications or user stories
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Understanding of microservices, middleware, messaging concepts (JMS, Kafka), and system integration fundamentals

Working knowledge of ACI UPF, including:
Payment routing logic and message orchestration
Endpoint & Bank Adapter concepts
Processing rules, cartridges, and flow monitoring
UPF Control Center dashboards and operational insights
Familiarity with ISO 20022 message structures and UPF 5.x flows

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
