About this role:

The product manager will work within the London Global Product Management team, with various responsibilities in support of EMEA Treasury Management product function. These products support lines of business on the EMEA platform including Corporate and Financial Institutions.

Operating within a small team with a high degree of interaction with US teams, responsibilities will be varied and dynamic and will include:

  • Regulatory, industry and payment scheme compliance applicable in UK and EU.

  • Substantial involvement and support aspects of both product development, platform migration and product management.

  • Play a key role in the activities to replace the legacy payment platforms in the branch .

  • Play a key role in supporting US originated payment flows into the region


In this role, you will:

  • Key role in platform migration and product impacts

  • Maintaining awareness, interpreting and defining requirements related to UK , European and related regulation and payment scheme rules as it relates to the Treasury Management products.

  • Leading initiatives to ensure current and future products remain compliant.

  • Driving revenue and analyzing performance of Treasury Management products for the UK market.

  • Working with Sales in UK and US to drive sales of European Treasury Management (TM) solutions

  • Supporting the Regional Product Manager, EMEA in reviewing documentation relating to Global expansion and where appropriate providing feedback to the GBE development teams

  • Working with Technology and Operations to identify and implement efficiency and risk improvement to operational processes.

  • Key role in supporting the upgrade and migration of legacy core deposit and payments platforms

  • Managing any risks associated with the product set in accordance with bank policies

  • Developing marketing strategies and material to support sales of the European TM product set

  • Develop new products/services to meet identified customer needs.

  • Identification of market segments, product positioning, pricing and profitability; maintains traditional and identifies new distribution channels.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience of Treasury Management services within the UK and Europe – ideally within a product management or the payments technology environment.

  • Extensive experience with the Wells Fargo approach to software development and Agile approach

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with SWIFT, ISO 20022 and payment messaging.

  • Knowledge of UK and EU payments types and transaction processing including key data elements and transaction flows within Wells Fargo payments ecosystem.

  • Basic understanding of the UK/European competitive and regulatory landscape

  • Ability to work flexibly and independently within a global team, which has team members located in multiple time zones

  • Strong analytical skills, experience with process design and requirements definition

  • Experience with Agile software development as a product/technology owner

  • Experience in leading, or participating in, complex, interconnected projects

  • An ability to effectively represent Wells Fargo in all communications with peers and service providers in other financial organizations or vendor companies

  • Ability to represent Wells Fargo at Industry forums and be an ambassador for the company

  • A commercial mindset

  • Knowledge of US Treasury Management services and products is preferred although not required
