About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate to join the Consumer Technology (CT) group supporting the Auto Lending Technology organization. In this role, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of applications built using C# and Java with a focus on full‑stack development, RESTful API patterns, and browser‑based application functionality. This role is ideal for early‑career technologists who are enthusiastic, curious, and energized by solving real‑world business challenges within Wells Fargo’s complex Auto Lending ecosystem.

This position is part of the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program, a two-year direct-hire initiative designed to help individuals from diverse educational and professional backgrounds launch careers in technology. Whether you're a recent graduate, a coding bootcamp alum, or someone with hands-on technical experience, CODE offers a structured pathway into the tech industry—no four-year degree required.

As a full-time employee in the CODE Program, you'll begin with immersive onboarding and continue with hands-on training, mentorship, and professional development. You'll be part of a collaborative cohort supported by a dedicated program management team, gaining exposure to real-world projects and building a strong foundation in data engineering and ETL development.

If you're a curious problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys learning new technologies, and is passionate about building a career in tech, the CODE Program could be a great fit.

  • Understanding of RESTful API principles, evidenced by building or consuming at least one REST‑based integration and explaining request/response patterns and error handling.

  • Foundational knowledge of Linux/Windows, networking basics, and simple system performance troubleshooting.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through group projects, presentations, leadership in academic work, or collaboration experiences in team‑based technical environments.

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies, including experience participating in at least one sprint cycle, using tools like Jira, or contributing to backlog refinement, standups, or retrospectives.
