Banking, Lending, & Trust (BL&T) unlocks access to Wells Fargo Bank products and services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families based on needs related to banking, custom lending, and trust services. These bank specialists leverage resources, valuable research, relationships, custom solutions, and highly tuned strategies to address clients' unique needs and aspirations.

BL&T further provides guidance on a variety of banking and fiduciary topics including investment management, general trust administration, specialty trusts, custody, tax, specialty assets, regulatory, privacy, ecommerce, deposit relationship and strategy, and business strategies. The section also provides support to the WIM Diverse Segments group, including WIM referral activity.​

Trust Services Trust advisors discuss the needs of HNW and UHNW clients and provide personalized advice and wealth and asset management services, including:

• Personal trust services.

• Estate services.

• Philanthropic services.

• Closely held asset management.

• Real estate and loan asset management.

• Oil, gas and mineral management.

• Legacy trust services.

• Special needs trust services.

• Managed Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA).

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Fiduciary Specialty Asset Manager to support Closely Held Asset Management within its Wealth & Investment Management division. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

WIM is also a leading provider of trust and fiduciary services, including a number of specialized wealth services designed to meet the diverse needs of high-net-worth clients. These specialized fiduciary services include Real Estate Asset Management Services.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate or provide support for a closely held asset portfolio comprised primarily of minority interests but also some more complex assets within Fiduciary Specialty Asset Products
  • Negotiate sales, vote proxies, review financial statements, value closely held interests based on accepted valuation standards, participate in owner meetings, review partnership, operating and shareholder agreements, communicate with entity stakeholders including managers, clients, accountants, and attorneys
  • Review less complex or tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
  • Provide closely held asset management in accordance with the governing instruments, fiduciary laws, bank policies and procedures
  • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders, including internal and external customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Fiduciary Specialty Asset Products experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with wealth management and asset management
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and business valuation
  • Knowledge of estate planning
  • Relationship management and asset management experience in an environment serving private, high net worth clients
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance client relationships leading to increased revenue
  • Sound judgment, problem solving, and risk assessment in the application of analytical conclusions and management recommendations
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively in a team environment
  • Intermediate MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and develop advanced level use of software systems utilized by Closely Held Asset Management Services
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$60,000.00 - $100,000.00
