About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Institutional Investment Operations Specialist to support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business within the Corporate & Investment Banking division of Wells Fargo Global Operations. This role is part of the Fees and Commissions team and is responsible for the accurate assessment, calculation, and capture of all FCM-related fees and commissions. The specialist will ensure data integrity, support reconciliation processes, and collaborate with internal partners to maintain transparent and compliant fee practices across the FCM business.
- Draft and maintain commission schedules and give up agreements
- Assist Sales and the FCM business with customer pricing strategy and execution
- Maintain static data to ensure fee and commission rates are recorded accurately and result in the intended charges
- Execute reconciliations and controls on trade date and T+ to ensure charges are accurate, breaks are adjusted, and any issues/root causes are investigated and corrected
- Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
- Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
- Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
- Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing the FIS GMI, Consensys, FIA Docs, or related cleared derivatives systems.
- FCM operations and/or project implementation experience
- Knowledge of cleared derivatives products and the trade processing life cycle
- Working knowledge of the CME Group, ICE, LCH, OCC or other comparable clearinghouse systems
- Knowledge of capital markets, including products such as futures, options, and other listed derivatives.
- Experience supporting capital markets trading businesses or front-office trading teams.
- Background in trading operations, trade support, or post‑trade processing within an FCM or similar environment.
- Familiarity with market infrastructure, clearing processes, and exchange/clearinghouse requirements.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle workflows, reconciliations, and fee/commission structures related to capital markets transactions.
Job Expectations:
- Position offers a hybrid work schedule in which you are required to work in office 3 days per week at a minimum in one of the locations listed below
- Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including late shifts that may extend to 7:00 PM, to support team and business requirements.
