About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables
- Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting
- Review and analyse moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Should have strong years of hands-on development and support experience in one or multiple
- Data warehousing projects involving strong years of Ab Initio experience.
- Strong years or more hands-on experience in Unix Shell scripting
- Strong years hands-on developer experience in Teradata database skills
- Decent Experience with Cloud Based technologies, GCP preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in standard industry standard Estimation techniques and SDLC life cycle.
- Excellent analytical & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team with proficiency in leading/mentoring junior developers.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent, self-starter and quick learner
Job Expectations:
- Leads a team of developers to plan, execute and support multiple development projects in Data warehousing and business Intelligence environment
- Act as Point of Contact for all production related issues and user support during India daytime.
- Able to contribute technical hands on in the project life cycle as needed
- Ability to do the technical reviews and follow the process methodologies and documentation
- At least 3 years of experience in Autosys or any equivalent scheduling tool
- Owns overall delivery responsibilities for all EGS based project assignments
- Build application knowledge, mentor developers and act as the Subject Matter
- Expert in the BMG platform supporting all layers of the system/technology stack
- Works with diverse group of business analysts, designers, developers, quality assurance teams and project managers from multiple teams with assertiveness and tact.
- Propose and lead execution of the functional improvements and enhancements to application process and operation.
