About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking experienced Corporate Banking Analysts to join Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The Analysts will join and grow one of the industry’s leading Financial Institutions practices, which covers insurance, asset management, market structure, and specialty finance companies.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions
  • Work with more senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic and consistent business development and client retention
  • Responsible for developing presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions; may take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call; sees items through to resolution to support broader deal team/organization.
  • Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
  • Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • 6+ months of financial services experience in portfolio management and/or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis with high attention to detail and accuracy and communicate findings in a concise manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and an ability to effectively multi-task
  • Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • An ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results
  • Experience with leading and contributing to project teams

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Base Salary:

  • Base pay range: $100,000-110,000
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00
