About this Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist to support the Convertibles Middle Office. This role is responsible for daily reconciliation review and resolution, allocation processing, client communication, and trade management. The Specialist will evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for control enhancements and automation to improve efficiency and increase STP rates across all daily tasks.

The Equity Middle Office provides daily operational support to the Equity Trading Desk. This includes monitoring trading activity, resolving inter‑system breaks, processing corporate actions and life‑cycle events, and producing Flash P&L. The role also involves analyzing daily settlement reports and managing dispute resolution.

The position requires frequent collaboration with Trading, Sales, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and various business and project management teams. As part of daily controls, the Specialist will review, identify, and explain breaks or discrepancies to the trading desk, while ensuring strong accuracy and quality of work. The role also includes responding to ad hoc requests in a fast‑paced environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in profit and loss generation, profit and loss attribution and trade capture
  • Identify opportunities to resolve complex confirmation and related trade issues
  • Analyze tactical business challenges related to complex derivative products and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Present recommendations for resolving derivative issues
  • Review new and amended trades, cash payments, customer pricing, collateral management, credit and general ledger reconciliation issues
  • Provide information to managers and the Capital Markets Middle Office


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education



Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the Derivatives Trade Support/Middle Office areas.
  • Derivative trade capture and booking experience.
  • Understanding of the front to back controls of derivative products.
  • 2+ years middle office or operations experience within an alternative asset manager, hedge fund, or investment management firm
  • Hands-on experience supporting equity derivative settlement, valuation, and administration strongly preferred
  • Understanding of all Fixed Income asset classes
  • Exposure to structured credit products (e.g., CLOs, ABS, RMBS, CMBS) is a plus
  • Experience working with portfolio and order management systems;
  • Exhibits qualities and attributes of both Subject Matter Expert and leadership.
  • Experience with project management and delivery.
  • Series 7/63 or 99 Registered Preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver results under strict time constraints.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Job Expectations:

  • Position offers a hybrid work schedule in which you are required to work in office 3 days per week at a minimum in one of the locations listed below

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$34.62 - $52.40
