About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced digital product leader specializing in modern authentication, advanced MFA, and Workforce IAM experiences. This role requires deep technical fluency in identity standards combined with the ability to translate complex authentication and security requirements into scalable digital solutions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring vision, strategic leadership, and hands‑on product expertise to drive authentication strategy across web, mobile, and API channels.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on authentication expert who thrives at the intersection of security, product strategy, user experience, and enterprise-scale engineering. You’re someone who sees both the architecture and the user journey — and knows how to design authentication that is seamless, secure, and built for the future.
In this role, you will:
Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence digital products, initiatives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs within the Digital environment
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise
Deliver long-term, large-scale solutions requiring vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking
Coordinate highly complex activities and provide guidance to others
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant digital business plans, programs, and initiatives
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications
7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
Deep hands-on experience designing and governing enterprise authentication architectures, including OIDC/OAuth 2.0, SAML, FIDO2/passkeys, and token lifecycle management across web, mobile, and API channels.
Proven expertise leading advanced MFA strategies, including adaptive/risk-based authentication, device trust, phishing-resistant MFA, and step-up authentication aligned to threat models and regulatory expectations.
Product leadership for Workforce IAM experiences, translating complex authentication, access, and security controls into intuitive employee and administrator workflows—leveraging user journeys, wireframes, prototypes (e.g., Figma), and close partnership with design, engineering, and security to balance usability, risk, and operational scale.
