About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong years of ServiceNow development in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong technical experience of implementing solutions – by configuring and customizing – for any ServiceNow product modules.
  • Strong scripting ability using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
  • Ability to write/troubleshoot/enhance custom business rule, client script, script include, UI policy, data policy, UI script, ACL.
  • Ability to troubleshoot medium-to-complex configuration/scripting issues.
  • Well versed with various integration mechanisms with ServiceNow and must have strong experience in handling 4-5 integrations with different 3rd party products preferably with Workday.
  • Well versed with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub, apart from traditional Workflows.
  • Well versed with SN Performance Analytics.
  • Well versed with SN ATF
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HR
  • Continuously improves upon current platform knowledge by learning new applications, studying new release notes, maintaining certifications, and broadening skill sets.
  • Should be creative and innovative implementing solutions by utilizing the platform’s features as per requirements.


Job Expectations:

  • Perform Technical Analysis on the ServiceNow applications and modules
  • Perform ServiceNow application configuration/development as per planned user stories
  • Perform code reviews for other developers in the team.
  • Drive and adhere to ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Create design documentation translating the functional requirements.
  • Work closely with ServiceNow product owners to build requested items.
  • Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
  • Create or update ServiceNow reports and dashboards
  • Create automated scripts using ATF.
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities and styles
  • Team Player
  • Must be a self-starter and keen to explore new solutions
