About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Analyst for the International Global Markets business, who will play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial analysis, insight, and decision support across trading and sales businesses such as FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, Commodities, and Cross‑Asset.

The role supports senior management in understanding revenue performance, balance sheet dynamics, expense drivers, and forward‑looking financial forecasts across multiple regions and products.

This role sits at the intersection of business performance management, financial analytics, and strategic planning, working closely with Trading & Sales, Business Management, Product Control, Risk, and central FP&A teams.


In this role, you will:

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Produce and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting across trading and sales businesses.

  • Track key revenue drivers including spread, volume, client flows, and market conditions.

  • Support production of monthly performance packs for senior management, including variance analysis versus budget, prior periods, and forecast.

  • Develop insight on business trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and drivers of P&L performance.

  • Partner with Product Control to ensure transparency and alignment between front‑office P&L, clean P&L, and management reporting.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Outlook

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for revenues, balance sheet, NII, expenses, and headcount.

  • Ensure alignment of International Markets forecasts with broader Global Markets forecast

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Partner with Trading & Sales leads to provide insight on performance, strategy, and resource allocation.

  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives such as new product launches, market expansions, and client strategy changes.

  • Assist with ad‑hoc executive requests and materials for governance forums (e.g., Markets leadership, ALCO, business reviews).

Controls, Data & Process Improvement

  • Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, dashboards, and data quality.

  • Contribute to automation initiatives leveraging BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), Alteryx, Python, or similar.

  • Maintain documentation of financial processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Finance or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.

  • Experience in FP&A, Markets Finance, Product Control, or a related analytical role ideally within a bank or financial institution.

  • Experience with data tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or Python (preferred).

  • Strong financial analysis capabilities, particularly in P&L drivers, balance sheet, and market‑based revenue components.

  • Understanding of Global Markets products (FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, Commodities) and how they generate revenue.

  • Highly proficient in Excel (financial modelling, scenario analysis) and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate financial data into clear business insight.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, markets‑driven environment with tight deadlines.

  • Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.

  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification or progress (e.g., CFA, CIMA, ACA) beneficial.
