About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Design Research & Strategy Specialist
In this role, you will:
Research and design of the existing mobile and internet channels while following existing branding protocols
Work with internal teams to implement approved design strategies and research and plan mobile and internet channel creation and expansion
Research growth opportunities that advance the online customer experience strategy
Create or collaborate on new and existing web or multimedia applications
Ensure consistency throughout the creation of electronic communications and websites by utilizing company brand and quality standards
Collaborate and consult with other designers and internal groups
Mentor less experienced individuals
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
Identify, analyze, document, and validate business requirements in check process
Define and document requirements and user stories using Jira as prescribed by the team, ensure proper backlog grooming and sprint readiness, and run appropriate meetings to validate the artefacts produced prior to signoff
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams
Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and process mapping exercises
Create detailed process flows, user journeys, wireframes, mock ups, and interactive prototypes
Work closely with Product Owners, Technology, Operations, Compliance, UAT, & QA teams
Maintain structured documentation and knowledge repositories in Confluence
Perform gap analysis between legacy check systems and modern digital platforms
Support UAT planning, test case review, and defect triage
Drive workflow optimization and operational efficiency improvements
Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are incorporated into solutions
Leverage AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, documentation quality, analysis, and requirement refinement
Display a high degree of stakeholder management and analysis
Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure that the project remains on track and progress communicated frequently in line with key artefacts provided
Identify, analyze and manage risks, issues and interdependencies, escalating as necessary and ensure project tasks are completed according to established timelines
Build relationships and influence Internal and external stakeholders to help navigate Wells Fargo move towards the it future state in line with the firm strategy and business objectives.
Maintain up to date working knowledge of the industry and ensure that the organization’s interests are considered
Graduate/post-graduate of relevant work experience in banking, FinTech or BFSI industry
Experience in business-technology environment, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Be familiar with both the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change Management, Agile, Scrum principles
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization.
Excellent documentation skills ensuring traceability of the delivery back to requirements.
Experience documenting testing strategies, coordinating testing efforts across multiple platforms and business functions, capturing and documenting business requirements, and communicating progress.
Ability to identify the root cause of problems and propose solutions resulting in clear options and recommendations that can be considered to address the issues identified.
Experience working within both waterfall and agile methods of project delivery.
Fluent in the following applications: All MS Office Application and Agile Enterprise Jira, and Confluence.
