About this role:
The Corporate Debt Finance group, within the Structured Products Group (SPG) is searching for a Structuring Program Analyst to work in the Charlotte, NC office.
Corporate Debt Finance (CDF) provides financing solutions to specialty finance companies, asset managers, hedge funds and other non-bank financial institutions through structured credit facilities and collateralized loan obligations in the middle market and broadly syndicated corporate loan space. CDF acts as a structuring and placement agent for term CLOs and as a lender on the bank’s behalf.
In this role, you will:
Assist senior members of the structuring and banking teams in the execution of new issue CLOs
Prepare collateral files for use in our proprietary cash flow models
Reverse engineer deals using Intex Dealmaker
Tie out cash flow model results with internal structuring control group
Provide quantitative analyses required for internal credit packages
Review deal documents (offering circular, indenture, term sheets, credit agreements) to ensure documents and modeling are consistent
Screen Intex database for deals that may indicate suitable candidates for refinancing
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
1-2 years capital markets industry experience. Experience in CLO, CMBS, RMBS, ABS or similar products is preferred
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, superior knowledge of Excel and VBA programming
Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis
Knowledge of fixed income mathematics
Familiarity with Intex products
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Attention to Detail
A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field or business degree with quantitative emphasis
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date, if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 180 days of hire date, if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 180 days of hire date, if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
