About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
- Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
- Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
- Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
- Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business design, business analysis, and process improvement, including current‑state assessment and target‑state recommendations.
- Experience managing change initiatives or large-scale transformation programs in complex organizational environments.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within a matrix program structure.
- Hands-on experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies, including requirements elicitation, user stories, process documentation, and test case preparation.
- Experience with iterative feature delivery, including MVPs aligned with business needs.
- Ability to work across pods to lead business process design activities.
- Strong ability to create wireframes to represent application flow, user experience, and functionality.
- Ability to perform data analysis, interpret operational data, and understand data models and structures.
- Experience building and reporting Operational Scorecard metrics to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, design sessions, and requirement‑gathering discussions with SMEs and senior leadership.
- Strong teamwork orientation and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Experience coordinating functional testing and UAT with data partners and business users.
- Deep understanding of operational processes within financial services.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to shape product strategy using data, research, and industry trends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work as a liaison between development teams, data analytics teams, Commercial Banking Operations managers, and senior executives.

Job Expectations
- Work within the Business Initiatives function to deliver medium to large-scale change initiatives across Commercial Banking Operations.
- Support strategic and risk-driven programs through structured project execution.
- Engage with key business partners to drive delivery across multiple projects/initiatives.
- Work under tight timelines and manage multiple workstreams in a matrix environment.
- Serve as a Business Analyst using both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Analyze current-state processes, identify pain points, and document findings.
- Conduct impact assessments, recommend future-state options, and collaborate with cross-functional partners for implementation.
- Support the buildout of platforms delivering business and operational metrics.
- Play a critical role in shaping the I&P team as it continues to establish its capabilities within Commercial Banking Shared Services.
