Are you a seasoned data management leader who knows how to influence at the highest levels, navigate complex enterprise programs, and turn ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable strategies? Wells Fargo’s Chief Data Office is hiring a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst to serve as a trusted advisor, a strategic voice, and the face of data governance across the bank.

This role is ideal for someone who has lived in enterprise data management programs, understands governance at scale, and brings both presence and polish when representing an organization in high‑visibility forums.

Why This Role Matters

The Chief Data Office is transforming how Wells Fargo treats data as a strategic enterprise asset. This role fills a critical need: providing the subject‑matter expertise, influence, and strategic leadership required to guide and evolve the firm’s Data Management Policy and Procedure.

We are looking for someone who can steward our enterprise policy, engage governance forums, and deliver consistent, high‑quality guidance across the company.

What You’ll Own

This is not just an analyst role — it’s a strategic leadership and influence role.

You will:

Be the face of the CDO in governance forums

  • Represent the Chief Data Office across 8 executive councils, 10 data domain councils, and other enterprise steering groups.
  • Provide authoritative subject‑matter expertise on data management and data governance.
  • Learn the core requirements of each enterprise program and represent the CDO's stance confidently and clearly.

Lead enterprise policy refresh and publication

  • Drive the refresh and publication of the firm’s Data Management Policy and Procedure.
  • Ensure guidance is streamlined, actionable, and aligned to treating data as a strategic enterprise asset.
  • Identify gaps and propose improvements to policies, controls, and processes.

Influence and communicate across all levels

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders — directors, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate with clarity “up, down, and across” the organization.
  • Turn complex issues into crisp action plans, strategic recommendations, and clear narratives.

Provide strategic, analytical, and organizational leadership

  • Analyze complex business needs and identify control or process gaps.
  • Recommend long‑term solutions that require vision, creativity, and advanced analytical thinking.
  • Work closely with the leader, with frequent touchpoints and strategic partnership.
  • Manage a high volume of enterprise programs and governance engagements.

What You Bring

We’re seeking someone seasoned — someone who has done this before and has a successful track record.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project/Program Management or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience working in an enterprise data management program
  • Executive presence, influence skills, and the ability to guide conversations with senior leaders
  • Strong presentation and communication skills — polished, confident, clear
  • The ability to self‑direct, manage complexity, and bring strategic clarity
  • Analytical problem‑solving experience with the ability to translate issues into actionable strategy

Preferred:

  • Deep knowledge of data management frameworks, governance structures, and policy design.
  • Experience representing an organization in governance forums.

This is not an audit or remediation role.
It is a strategy, governance, thought leadership, and influence role.
