Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Regulatory Data Analyst, (Senior Business Accountability Specialist), as part of the Technology Resiliency, Risk, and Regulatory Execution team.

In this role, you will analyze technology recovery capabilities, support regulatory deliverables, and help ensure alignment between enterprise standards and domain-level execution. This role will also involve assessing regulatory requirements, developing informed interpretations for application within the Management Information Systems domain, and socializing and validating those interpretations with stakeholders across risk, technology, and governance functions. This is a high-accountability individual contributor role requiring strong analytical depth, critical thinking, and the ability to create clarity from ambiguity. The successful candidate will also use structured project management practices to advance complex, long-term deliverables, manage dependencies, and drive work through completion.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within business and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional planning related to mitigation of current and emerging business risk issues and concerns
  • Assess, analyze, and design moderately complex controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
  • Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business’s functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance or support in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Partner with peers and the business in interactions with external parties to support appropriateness and timeliness of response, and effectiveness of communications and materials
  • May serve as a mentor for lower-level staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of proven ability to conduct complex data analysis across multiple systems, ensuring accurate alignment, reconciliation, and data integrity
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL, Alteryx, or comparable data extraction and transformation tools

  • Experience working in a regulatory environment with knowledge of technology requirements relating to recovery and resolution planning
  • Systems-oriented mindset with the ability to connect technical details, data flows, and dependencies to broader regulatory, operational, and enterprise impacts
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills, with a track record of building trust, contributing meaningfully in cross-functional forums, and influencing outcomes in a matrixed organization without formal authority
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, technical tools, and complex information, with the ability to translate raw data into clear, defensible regulatory analysis and narrative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts concisely, produce documentation for senior audiences, and defend conclusions with evidence
  • Proven skill in synthesizing complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to bring stakeholders together and drive alignment in ambiguous situations
  • Experience escalating risks through structured analysis supported by solution recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify structural gaps and propose practical, data‑driven solutions

NJ- Iselin Pay Range: $92,000 – $145,000 Annually

NC- Charlotte Pay Range: $77,000 - $121,000 Annually

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

    $77,000.00 - $145,000.00
