About this role:
Wells Fargo’s Commercial (CB) Banking Business Data team is seeking a Data Solutions Leader to translate business needs into innovative, scalable, and trusted data solutions that enable faster decision making and drive measurable outcomes. This leader will partner with business, data and enterprise function stakeholders to identify, prioritize, design, implement and measure solutions across the end-to-end business and data lifecycles. They will also lead the redesign and operationalization of foundational data capabilities, including data models, lineage and metadata, and data product distribution. They must design solutions with an AI first approach and ensure our data environment enables AI at scale.
This is a principal individual contributor role that will report to the Head of Business Data and be a member of the leadership team.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and research new technologies, solutions, and deep learning capabilities that solve relevant business problems, including reinforcement learning, semi supervised learning, and unsupervised learning
- Act as a top subject matter expert to lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex challenges delivering innovative solutions that are large scale and broad reaching
- Develop and implement a data management, data quality or metadata research plan that may include small teams
- Influence and teach others in new areas by writing papers, delivering presentations internally and externally, leading courses and curriculum, and giving demonstrations
- Strategically lead and engage with all levels of professionals and managers with technical guidance and direction
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading end-to-end data initiatives across cross functional teams (business, data, technology, operations, etc.)
- Strong background in data modeling (conceptual/logical) and familiarity with modern data architecture and platforms
- Experience implementing or operating metadata management, lineage, and data catalogs
- Demonstrated success with data-as-a-product practices (product lifecycle, adoption metrics, user engagement)
- Experience implementing AI capabilities and supporting AI data frameworks
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory expectations in banking (controls, auditability, issue remediation)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data / technical concepts into business value at all levels of the organization

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
