Lead Product Manager - Product & Data BSA/AML
Wells Fargo
About this Role:
Wells Fargo is seeking Product Design Lead – BSA/AML Data & Experience Design
Shared Services Operations (SSO) is seeking a Product Design Lead to transform how teams experience and manage BSA/AML and client reference data workflows. This role focuses on the intersection of data, design, and compliance, creating human-centered solutions that bring clarity and efficiency to complex regulatory processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong design acumen with a deep understanding of operational systems and the data that powers them—helping SSO deliver intelligent, scalable, and compliant customer data experiences.
A hands-on designer who bridges data and experience. You think in systems, not screens - understanding that well-designed data journeys are the foundation of strong compliance. In SSO, you’ll help reimagine how Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and client data operations work: more unified, transparent, and efficient by design
In this role, you will:
- Own the portfolio‑level product intake and prioritization process, partnering with Product, Data, Technology, and Operations leaders to evaluate demand, manage tradeoffs, and align initiatives to strategic, regulatory, and operational outcomes.
- Develop and maintain business cases for portfolio initiatives, including problem statements, value hypotheses, cost and risk considerations, success metrics, and alignment to enterprise priorities.
- Translate portfolio priorities into actionable agile execution, ensuring epics and features are clearly scoped, value‑driven, and sequenced appropriately across teams.
- Embed agile design practices into product delivery—prototyping, testing, and refining based on real user feedback.
- Simplify how users interact with AI‑driven and data‑enabled platforms, ensuring transparency, explainability, and confidence in regulated decision‑making environments.
- Develop measurable outcomes linking design improvements to operational gains in accuracy, cycle time, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with data stewards, modelers, and compliance partners to translate regulatory and data requirements into practical, user-centered design solutions.
- Design intuitive tools and workflows that enhance BSA/AML functions such as onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and transaction monitoring.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in product, or service design, ideally within financial services or compliance environments.
- Experience owning portfolio‑level prioritization, including intake management, demand shaping, investment trade‑off analysis, and roadmap sequencing across multiple workstreams.
- Strong grounding in agile product delivery, including backlog management, dependency management, and translation of strategy and business cases into epics and features.
- Strong grounding in design thinking, journey mapping, and agile delivery.
- Ability to interpret data structures, operational pain points, and user behaviors to inform design choices.
- Proven ability to design complex data workflows and internal enterprise tools.
- Familiarity with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and client reference data processes and systems.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

- Candidate must reside within a reasonable commute to a location listed in the posting
