About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-scale applications. This role involves working across modern technology stacks, with a strong focus on .NET Core, Microservices, and React, while also leveraging engineering best practices, cloud-ready design principles, and secure development standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong 7+ years hands-on experience with .NET / .NET Core, C#, Microservices architecture, RESTful services, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in React and front-end engineering fundamentals (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using modern architectural practices.
- Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, or backend service development (added advantage).
- Familiarity with Gen AI tools/techniques, machine learning workflows, or integrating AI-driven components (good to have).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze complex issues and design effective solutions.
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Will be required to work in the office as per organizations In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO)
- Deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable software solutions aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
- Take ownership of assigned modules, components, and end‑to‑end delivery responsibilities.
- Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure best practices are consistently applied.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and solution blueprinting.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery—Product, QA, Architecture, and Infrastructure.
- Ensure timely completion of development, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Proactively identify technical debt, performance issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the engineering landscape.
- Uphold Wells Fargo’s risk, compliance, and security guidelines across all development activities.
