About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director to join our Macro trading team as a Rates trader. This position would involve working with teams across regions. We are looking to become a market leading business across the globe to all of our Corporate and Institutional Clients.
In this role, you will:
- Be part of the Rates trading team in NY which covers US Treasuries, Swaps, and Inflation trading
- Perform daily risk management duties for all aspects of the trading portfolio. Capable of running multiple books across regions
- Exhibit strong analytical and quantitative skills. Be able to work well under pressure and be part of a global team
- Work with the global team to dictate consistent, efficient, and timely pricing for all our clients
- Be able to build a franchise by fostering current customer relationships and onboarding new prospects.
- Help build analytical tools that improve our risk management capabilities and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in Rates trading with a proven track record of delivering strong P&L results.
- Strategic and tactical business acumen with a strong sense of urgency and commitment.
- Deep understanding of technological, risk, and regulatory trends impacting the Rates business.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management, with the ability to navigate complex frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decision-making for initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in executing initiatives using structured project management methodologies.
- Uncompromising integrity, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across functions.
- Strong commercial judgment and excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organizational environment, fostering effective partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Job Expectations:
- Up to 10% travel
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
