About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant.


In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards

  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews

  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ThoughtSpot, SSRS, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python.

  • Certifications in Data Management, Data Engineering, or Cloud Platforms are a plus.

  • Domain understanding of home lending and its complete product lifecycle including Sales, Operations, Servicing, and Risk is an added advantage.

  • Strong understanding of business drivers and industry trends of lending products & home lending in specific.

  • Detail oriented, results driven, and can navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Expected to learn the business aspects quickly, multitask and prioritize between projects.

  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic and good team player.


Job Expectations:

  • Lead projects and teams and act as a technical expert in delivering high‑quality analysis, reports, dashboards, and insights aligned to business priorities.

  • Provide influence and leadership in identifying and adopting new tools, platforms, and analytical methods to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Perform deep dives into data to identify drivers of variation in trends and key metrics across recurring and ad‑hoc reporting.

  • Clearly understand and articulate business requirements by leveraging banking and home lending domain knowledge and translating them into scalable analytical solutions that address real business problems.

  • Identify and apply appropriate analytical approaches to make data‑driven recommendations.

  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and semantic models that support governed self‑service analytics.

  • Work with Starburst and Dremio on cloud data platforms to build, optimize, and consume datasets efficiently.

  • Leverage Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataflows to automate workflows, reporting processes, and data refreshes.

  • Support data migrations, system transitions, data mapping, data lineage, reconciliation, and documentation in alignment with data governance standards.

  • Support research, analysis, and development of data marts, risk data fields, and metadata.

  • Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations and policies.

  • Proactively perform root cause analysis, identify issues, and seek guidance or propose solutions when challenges arise.
