About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate – Platform Operations (MFT) to support daily operational activities for enterprise File Transfer Services platforms. As part of the Infrastructure organization, this role supports and delivers the enterprise infrastructure services that power Wells Fargo operations globally. Our Infrastructure teams provide the foundational technology platforms—including networking, production services, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange, Cloud-based systems, and distributed systems—that keep the company running securely and reliably.

In this entry-level role, you will help support key managed file transfer services within this broader ecosystem. You will focus on production operations, monitoring, incident response, and routine platform tasks that ensure critical data moves safely and consistently across the enterprise. This is an ideal opportunity for early‑career talent looking to build technical skills, gain hands-on operational experience, and grow within a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment.

You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program — a two‑year development program that runs alongside your full-time experience. CODE is designed for recent grads, coding bootcamp alumni and individuals with hands-on technical experience looking to break into tech.

CODE provides:

  • Immersive onboarding and foundational technical training

  • A supportive cohort experience of peers starting their tech careers

  • Dedicated mentors and program managers who guide your development

  • Professional development, career coaching, and workshops

Wells Fargo only considers candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who do not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

  • Provide L2 operational support for managed file transfer platforms such as Axway SecureTransport (AXST), Connect:Direct/NDM, Secure Proxy, or similar tools (training provided).

  • Review and respond to L1 monitoring alerts and ServiceNow incidents within defined SLA timelines.

  • Execute runbook-driven tasks such as service restarts, workflow checks, certificate renewals, and production request validations.

  • Assist in incident triage, initial troubleshooting, and escalation to ensure platform stability.

  • Support platform health monitoring, performance checks, and proactive identification of potential issues.

  • Maintain and update runbooks, documentation, and process steps to ensure operational accuracy.

  • Participate in daily operations calls and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform stability and service delivery.

  • Follow change management standards, including executing approved ServiceNow Changes, CTASKs, and SCTASKs.

  • Contribute to ongoing operational improvements and help reduce manual effort through standardization.

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of exposure to Linux/Unix commands, including navigating directories, checking logs, and editing files (e.g., cd, grep, tail, vi).

  • 6+ months of exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate repetitive operational tasks or data validations.

  • 6+ months of experience working with HTTPS, HSH, and SHS protocols, including validating secure connections, reviewing certificates, or supporting encrypted data transfer workflows.

  • Experience working with ITSM ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, with exposure to opening, updating, or resolving tickets at least weekly.

  • Exposure to managed file transfer tools such as Axway SecureTransport, Connect:Direct/NDM, or SFTP platforms.

  • Ability to follow detailed runbooks or SOPs, demonstrated through coursework, job experience, or documented processes.

  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including SFTP/FTP basics, TCP/IP, port testing, and certificates.

  • Experience communicating technical issues clearly, demonstrated through support interactions, group projects, or ticket documentation.

  • Ability to produce clear written documentation, such as incident summaries, operational notes, or procedural updates.

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related field preferred but not required.
