About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate – Cloud Enablement & Automation to support day‑to‑day engineering activities across our public cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. This role sits within the larger Infrastructure organization, which supports and delivers enterprise infrastructure services that enable Wells Fargo customers globally. Infrastructure provides the foundational technology platforms—including networking, production services, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange, cloud‑based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure—ensuring the company operates securely, reliably, and at scale.

In this position, you will assist with cloud service enablement, automation development, environment configuration, and application onboarding across enterprise cloud platforms. You will support coding and automation tasks using Terraform, Python, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines, contribute to engineering environment enhancement, and participate in activities that strengthen platform stability, performance, and security. You will also assist with cloud migration work, including onboarding applications from the current public cloud version (vNow) to the strategic next‑generation platform (vNext), as well as help remediate alerts, vulnerabilities, and configuration issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for early‑career technologists to build foundational skills in public cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, SDLC, and platform operations, while learning directly from senior engineers and leaders across the CTO and Infrastructure organizations.

You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program — a two‑year development program that runs alongside your full-time experience. CODE is designed for recent grads, coding bootcamp alumni and individuals with hands-on technical experience looking to break into tech. No four‑year degree is required.

CODE provides:

In this role, you will:

  • Support public cloud enablement workstreams across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, including onboarding processes, configuration, and platform readiness tasks.

  • Contribute to end‑to‑end automation using Terraform, Python, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline service enablement and migration activities.

  • Assist with the application migration from the existing cloud environment (vNow) to the strategic next‑generation cloud platform (vNext).

  • Participate in engineering environment creation, SDLC workflows, and basic code refactoring to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Support remediation of security vulnerabilities, alerts, and platform risk items, following established engineering and security standards.

  • Help maintain platform documentation, runbooks, deployment pipelines, and configuration guides to support operational stability.

  • Partner with senior engineers and product teams to improve cloud architecture patterns, automation workflows, and platform reliability.

  • Gain hands‑on experience working with Terraform, Python, GitHub source control, Jenkins pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

  • Learn and apply best practices for cloud operational monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams across CTO and Consumer Technology.

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ months writing code in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or a similar language in coursework, labs, or small applications.

  • 6+ months working with Experience working with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool, demonstrated through labs, personal automation projects, or building simple IaC templates/modules.

  • Ability to write SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, filtering) and work with relational or NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB), demonstrated through academic or project based debugging and data validation tasks.

  • Hands on experience using Git or GitHub, including pushing code, managing branches, completing pull requests, or collaborating on shared repositories for school or team projects.

  • Experience integrating or calling RESTful APIs, such as calling a public API, testing APIs in Postman, or wiring API responses into a backend or UI project.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, such as debugging code, resolving build errors, analyzing logs, or fixing project defects during coursework or internships.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word, managing email and calendars in Outlook, and building presentations in PowerPoint.

  • Experience communicating technical issues or access-related concerns across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in academic or professional settings.

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related field preferred but not required.

  • Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer or Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Certifications preferred but not required.

Job Expectations:

  • The selected candidate for this role must be able to begin employment by May 13, 2026, in a full‑time capacity.

  • This position is required to work from the designated posted office location and must be able to meet all expectations of the current hybrid work schedule, including regular in‑office attendance as defined by the team and program requirements.

  • Participation in an on-call rotation approximately once every six weeks to support production systems.

  • Actively engage in the two-year CODE Program, including participation in training, mentorship, networking events, and career development activities.

  • Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$34.62 - $52.40
