About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Associate.
In this role, you will:
- Provide operational and customer support for lifecycle tasks for institutional trades
- Assist with client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, asset servicing structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation and work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
- Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues
- Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters of the area while developing understanding of various functions, policies and procedures
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Configure and maintain client accounts for futures and equity options within the GMI platform, including end‑to‑end setup and ongoing securities/product configuration.
- Establish and manage trade books in the Calypso application to support trading of interest rate swaps and credit default swaps.
- Set up and maintain fixed‑income product inventories within the Broadridge system.
- Set up new or updated internal Wells Fargo funding account SSIs in SmartStream, after the Centralized Callback Team completes the COBAM callback submitted by FCL. The Configuration analyst will use the SSI details from the account build template and enter them into the appropriate SmartStream module.
- Collaborate closely with onshore Client Data teams to efficiently execute and manage client onboarding requests.
- Provide timely and transparent status updates to internal stakeholders across functions.
- Identify process gaps and partner with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee client connectivity, trade setup, and system configuration processes to ensure accurate and seamless trade flow.
- Offer actionable feedback to enhance workflows and elevate process efficiency.
- Proactively detect operational issues, develop solutions, and lead efforts to implement corrective measures.
Job Expectations:
Operational expertise of over 6+ years in Managing, working with various agreements builds into internal systems including various mapping exercises as well as ensuring all data processed is complete and accurate. Individual must independently resolve and work with complex issues and processes. Individuals must research and resolve issues pertaining to Client Account & Trade Books set ups, Trade life cycle events, Wire Instructions set ups and establish/manage trade books in the Calypso application to support trading of interest rate swaps and credit default swap Serve as subject matter expert on projects and assist Senior Management with Industry related initiatives
