About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager (Data Center Site Manager) accountable for one of Wells Fargo’s on premises environments in Manassas VA. This role provides a governing focal point for all site activities, ensuring site integrity and systems availability through the enforcement of corporate security and governance policies, information processing facility specifications, technology standards, processes, and disciplines. Provides proactive identification of risk and the creation and execution of risk remediation plans. Provide the appropriate leadership necessary to optimize and efficiently manage a hosting environment according to business goals and objectives. Inspires the cooperation and confidence of others and effectively uses power and influence to ensure quality support, solid controls, facility stability, uncompromised service delivery and strategic focus.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop Infrastructure Engineers in roles with moderate complexity and risk
- Lead project teams to support network and communication implementations
- Ensure the Information Technology infrastructure is always functioning as effectively as possible
- Oversee Information Technology infrastructure across multiple locations
- Identify and recommend opportunities for internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
- Work with the networking and software engineering groups
- Lead the efforts to maintain and develop Information Technology systems and networks companywide
- Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Infrastructure Engineers to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding infrastructure to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures
- Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Infrastructure Engineering
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
- 7+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- 3+ years of data center experience
- 3+ years of direct technology management, preferably within data center
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to interact with and influence all organizational levels, particularly senior management
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
- Experience overseeing large-scale data center/mission critical environments
- Knowledge and understanding of critical site controls, risk management, disciplined data center environments, high availability requirements, and security systems
- Strong risk management and compliance skills
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- This position requires onsite work, with limited hybrid flexibility
