About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Consultant to partner with business and technology teams in delivering scalable, high‑quality technology solutions. This role focuses on translating business strategy into actionable technical requirements, driving agile delivery, and acting as a trusted advisor across cross‑functional teams to solve moderately complex to complex business problems.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or contribute to technology initiatives that address simple to moderately complex business problems across technology and business systems

  • Evaluate business, operational, and technical challenges, providing well‑reasoned recommendations and solution direction

  • Act as a trusted internal consultant, leveraging process definition, quality tools, and re‑engineering techniques to improve technical and business processes

  • Partner closely with business, product, and engineering teams to design and deliver comprehensive technology solutions

  • Translate product and business strategy into clear functional requirements for engineering teams, including epics, features, and user stories

  • Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with business and user needs

  • Author and maintain product requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Ensure alignment of epics and stories with broader product and business strategy; review and sign off on delivered features

  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies including standups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and planning sessions for Scrum or Kanban teams

  • Manage release scope and timelines, negotiate trade‑offs, and proactively identify and escalate delivery risks or blockers

  • Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to build shared understanding of requirements and priorities

  • Support strategic initiatives by working closely with senior leaders and technology partners

  • Maintain a strong technical understanding of supported products and platforms, and stay current with emerging tools and technologies, including Generative AI solutions

  • Lead detailed analysis and research efforts to define accurate, efficient, and sustainable functional requirements

  • Contribute to or lead project documentation, and manage schedules, milestones, and deliverables for complex initiatives

  • Act as a key participant and subject‑matter contributor to enterprise and cross‑functional technology initiatives


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience in technology consulting, business systems analysis, or product delivery

  • 2+ years working in agile environments

  • 2+ years of experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow

  • 1+ year hands on experience to Gen AI use cases in enterprise environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of IBM MQ, XML,JSO, Kafka

  • Experience working in regulated financial services environments, strong product or agile delivery experience, foundational knowledge of modern application architectures, demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and a risk‑aware mindset aligned with enterprise governance practices.

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments across cross‑disciplinary software product teams

  • Strong facilitation skills to drive effective meetings, decision‑making, and stakeholder alignment

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex initiatives, including dependency management, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking

  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver successful outcomes

  • Risk‑focused mindset with a strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and organizational standards
