About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer.
Providing technical leadership and hands‑on expertise in designing, building, and operating highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure platforms. This role will play a critical part in supporting complex enterprise applications across on premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and compliance in a 24x7 regulated environment.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure and DevOps solutions across hybrid and cloud platforms
- Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and automation
- Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, and security of mission critical applications
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
- Partner closely with application development, operations, security, and compliance teams to enable reliable software delivery
- Support release management, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor engineers and set technical standards, best practices, and operational guidelines
- Operate effectively in a highly regulated, always on enterprise environment
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good experience of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong hands on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure
- Proven expertise in DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, IaC, automation, containerization)
- Good understanding of application management, operational support, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles
- Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management
- Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, Shell, or similar
- Experience supporting financial, regulatory, or risk management applications
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance requirements in large enterprises
- Ability to lead cross functional initiatives and influence technical direction
