About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Associate
In this role, you will:
- Use data research capabilities to translate business problems and data needs into low complexity analyses and recommendations
- Develop standard and customized reports or ad hoc analyses to be leveraged for recommendations
- Provide updates to project logs, monthly budget forecasts, and contribute to monthly newsletters or operations reviews
- Participate in projects including assisting systems support group with design, programming, research, testing, and implementation aspects
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to production or issuance issues
- Assist with developing departmental and division procedures, policies, and controls to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of processes and minimize the risk of incorrect production and issuance output
- Work on data and business research projects, secondary research testing, or results oriented intelligence
- Receive direction from supervisor, exercise independent judgment and partner with technology and other business groups
- Participate with other consultants or program managers on tasks related to the completion of other various projects including project design, collection and research of data, report preparation, or presentation design
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced level Excel skills, good command of complex & nested formulas, troubleshooting and VBA for excel.
- Experience in exploratory data analysis, data validation & cleaning, data visualization & outlier identification, reporting & insights is a must have.
- Must have a good understanding and experience of the commercial banking & it's products, credit life cycle, line of credit, concepts of credit analysis & collaterals and their types.
AI Competency Requirement (Mandatory):
- Demonstrated ability to use AI‑enabled tools and solutions to improve productivity, accuracy, and decision‑making relevant to the role.
- The expected level of AI proficiency for this role ranges from Basic to Medium, depending on job responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable leveraging AI responsibly as part of day‑to‑day work while adhering to enterprise risk, data, and compliance standards.
Job Expectations:
- Review and prepare collateral reporting files received from the clients for processing & inventory various reports
- Perform additional file format due diligence by reviewing various file types & troubleshooting various file formats
- Partner with multiple teams to resolve any issues that arise during each reporting cycle (technical processing team members, collateral analysts, relationship managers, field examiners, and in some situations, clients)
- Perform trend analysis and exception report review, root cause analysis to identify the probable causes for variation in total gross collateral on the Ineligibles Schedule. Seek second level review as needed
- Create final ineligibles schedule against the clients collateral reporting files
- Use data research capabilities to translate business problems and data needs into low complexity analyses and recommendations

Shift Timing:
- 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Impacted by daylight saving in US)
