About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant (Chinese Translator/Linguist) for the Translation Services team for Global Operations within the Chief Operating Office (COO).
In this role, you will:
Translate, review, proof, and validate content in context as applicable while adhering to strict style guides, terminology, deadlines, and procedures
Conduct post-translation review and spot-checking for language accuracy and consistency, reporting defects, and verifying fixes
Respond to client feedback, analyzing legal and/or compliance feedback provided, acting as a liaison to settle any pending issues, and verifying feedback implementation by vendors
Address linguistic queries and consultations on a daily basis from internal clients and vendors
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed
Lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups and contribute to large scale strategic initiatives
Ensure efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness of solutions, and pipeline management relating to assigned operations
Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international business
Work independently to make recommendations for support function by providing support and leadership
Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience
Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures
Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of translation industry experience
Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)/English
Desired Qualifications:
4 + years of experience as a professional translator and editor or proofreader, translating, reviewing and providing feedback on marketing, finance, legal and banking material, targeting Chinese-speaking audiences
3 + years of verifiable professional experience translating / transcreating creative content (such as marketing and public relation communication content)
Experience with translation management systems (SDL TMS or WorldServer)
Experience with translation and terminology management tools (Trados Studio, WorldServer, SDLX, or equivalent)
Experience with Computer Assisted Translation and Terminology tools (such as Wordfast, Studio, SDLX, Trados, MultiTerm, etc.)
Expertise in transcreating that connects emotionally and is culturally appropriate with the target audience in Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)
Bachelor’s degree in Chinese translation or linguistics
America Translator Association (ATA) certification
Presentation skills
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Project management skills
Problem solving skills
Experience providing and receiving feedback and critiques with a diplomatic and professional approach
Ability to look beyond the day-to-day work and seek out opportunities and understand big pictures
Ability to collaborate in a virtual team environment and develop effective relationships with both internal clients and external vendors
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a time-sensitive and deadline-driven environment
Adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and other common content tool
Experience using Internet-based resources such as dictionaries and glossaries
Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
