About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager, as part of Global Payments Technology to lead our Payments and Fraud Product Services. Payments & Fraud Services provide critical Payments and Fraud workflows for domestic and international payment types. This technology manager will manage key application design, development, support, and end to end lifecycle management for Treasury Management customers and other lines of business.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of individual contributor engineers including both FTE and Contractors

  • Responsible for application availability and stability across the application suite

  • Lead design, development, support, vulnerability management, risk and control management, deliver on enterprise and business initiatives

  • Lead and deliver in an agile environment and lead strategic initiatives end-to-end

  • Establish a clear vision and set strategic direction to enhance the efficiency, reliability and supportability of the applications while mitigating any potential impacts to the customer

  • Exhibit strong technical skills and the ability to grasp new concepts and help lead the team’s design discussions of strategic roadmaps

  • Deliver on key critical commitments and meet OKR established for the organization

  • Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers

  • Manage team members (US/ dotted line India), establish delivery cadences, and meet all target commitments

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

  • Innovate and Implement AI Driven Solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Business, Risk, Architecture, Platform and Enterprise Management


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience with Java web services, Spring Boot, Spring, Domain and Event Driven Design, Automation, DevOps, Databases (Oracle, Mongo), Kafka/ IBM MQ and SDLC tools

  • 5+ years of talent and team development, finance forecasting, risk management and ability to present to senior leadership

  • 4+ years of Cloud experience (OCP OR Kubernetes)

  • 4+ years of Agile Methodology

  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience within Payments domain

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse, geographically distributed team

  • Experience with production support teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing application environment including leading high visibility production incidents where SLAs are crucial to business success

  • Demonstrated technical and hands-on experience to help be a key driver in all architectural decisions

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
