About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to support deposit pricing and portfolio strategy within the Consumer and Small Business Bank. This role plays a critical individual‑contributor leadership role in developing the analytics that inform product pricing, rate rotation strategies, balance growth initiatives, and margin/NII tradeoffs across consumer and small business deposit portfolios.
The Lead Analytics Consultant partners closely with product, finance, and strategy stakeholders and serves as a key contributor to analytics supporting pricing decisions, portfolio mix optimization, and deposit growth planning. This role operates with limited supervision, leads complex analyses end‑to‑end, and frequently presents findings and recommendations to senior leaders
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex analytical efforts supporting deposit pricing, product and promotional rate rotations, and portfolio‑level strategy for consumer and small business deposit products
- Perform advanced analyses leveraging large customer‑ and account‑level data sets, including pricing elasticity, balance response, mix shift, and scenario analysis
- Develop analytical insights to support annual operating plans and in‑year pricing actions, including growth, margin, and NII impacts
- Consult with product, finance, and strategy partners to translate business questions into rigorous analytical approaches and decision‑ready outputs
- Design and evaluate forecasting, segmentation, and comparative analyses to assess performance across products, customer segments, and competitive environments
- Identify opportunities to enhance analytical frameworks, tools, and methodologies supporting deposit pricing and portfolio management
- Present findings, insights, and strategic implications to senior leaders in clear, concise, and actionable formats
- Ensure adherence to data management and governance standards, including documentation and analytic reproducibility
- Lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and serve as a technical thought partner within the pricing and portfolio analytics team
- Collaborate with peers, managers, and cross‑functional partners to resolve complex analytical and strategic issues
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of hands‑on coding experience in SAS, SQL, or Python for data analysis, modeling, and reporting
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience applying analytics to deposit pricing, portfolio strategy, or balance growth in consumer or small business banking
- Strong understanding of deposit economics, including pricing sensitivity, customer balance behavior, and margin/NII implications
- Advanced experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries across large, relational data sets
- Experience performing analytical work in Excel, including pivot tables and financial analysis
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality
- Proven ability to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations and decision points
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast‑changing environment

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00Benefits
