About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to support the Commercial, Corporate & Investment Banking, and International Technology Control organization. This team serves as the front line for risk and control management, responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks across their respective groups.
The role focuses on evaluating risks in Commercial Banking technology, Corporate and Investment Banking technology, payments technology, or technology infrastructure. It also involves evaluating AI use-cases and other risks and providing recommendations to executive leadership.
In this role, you will:
Evaluate risks associated with Key Enterprise Initiatives and corresponding software releases to ensure controls are appropriate and gaps are identified and addressed.
Provide risk and control consultation and assessments tied to complex technology initiatives, including data center management, cyber security, data management and resiliency.
Evaluate AI use-case risks and partner with control leads supporting business and technology teams, including engineers and architects, to ensure key risks are identified and addressed through appropriate controls and governance.
Monitor, measure, and evaluate adherence to controls and escalate to the relevant business group or functional area, as needed. Provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
Lead Control Management projects
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Commercial Banking technology, Corporate and Investment Banking technology, payments technology, or technology infrastructure
Experience with evolving technology (e.g., software development, change and release management, AI, Cloud computing)
Ability to translate technical risk concepts into business‑level risk discussions for non‑technical stakeholders
Experience with issues, corrective actions, and policy exceptions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and trends
Experience leading and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment
Experience evaluating risk in AI use-cases and software releases
Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with various levels of management and executives
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) day remote.
