We are seeking a driven, relationship focused Sales Associate to support the growth of our Material Handling/Industrial Platform. This individual will play a critical role in expanding our vendor partnerships, driving equipment financing solutions, and supporting sales enablement across the Material Handling/Industrial space, within our Vendor Finance team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in building and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients within their products or functional area, including sharing relevant information with coverage partners
  • May be assigned a contractual territory and responsible for managing partner relationships to ensure deal opportunities are directed to the business, in alignment with agreement terms
  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Independently review and analyze moderately complex client portfolios or partner with senior peers on more complex portfolios for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral and enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources, including for use in periodic reviews as well as interim underwriting memoranda
  • Partner with coverage teams within the context of individual deals and client relationships to understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify and execute on opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings
  • Perform regular portfolio reviews to manage risk and lead problem loan resolutions, where applicable
  • Collaborate and consult with peers and functional partners to resolve client servicing requests and contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product and/or specialty’s business objectives
  • Independently resolve moderately complex situations while developing a sound understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet business objectives and partner with senior peers for more complex issues
  • Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively
  • May serve as a mentor for lower level staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of equipment or vendor finance experience

  • Experience with commercial retail loans and leases; inventory finance (wholesale) products

  • Financial statement acumen; ability to understand, analyze and leverage to satisfy deal requirements

  • Proven understanding of credit requirements for retail and inventory finance (wholesale) products, ability to translate credit story into workable deal structures

  • Customer advocacy - Deliver on program partner goals and objectives through excellent service to dealer channel; and, cross-functional collaboration and teamwork

  • Adaptability - Ability to work in a high-touch, fast paced environment with continual process improvement and change

  • Initiative and Resourcefulness - Effectively prioritize daily activities to ensure achievement of program goals; and, engage key resources/stakeholders to assist with problem solving, breaking down barriers

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • This position does not support Visa Sponsorship
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule-4 days in the office and 1 day remote
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

Additional Information:

Hoffman Estates, Illinois Pay Range: $110,000-$179,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
