Program Overview

Prepare to immerse yourself in the Audit Summer Internship Program. Participants will experience a 10-week non-rotational professional development program that provides participants with an introduction to Wells Fargo operations, business strategies, and corporate culture with relevant work assignments. Internal Audit supports the entire enterprise and acts as an independent assurance function that evaluates the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The internship experience includes relationship building, work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, group projects, and informative learning sessions with key leaders. It is designed to provide undergraduate students with a blend of business and professional development training opportunities that incorporates real-world experiences and prepares you for a career at Wells Fargo. #earlycareers

In this role you will:

  • Participate in formal internship program in Internal Audit.

  • Complete various audit assignments and become familiar with policies and procedures and audit methodology.

  • Work under the guidance and direction of more experienced audit staff and managers.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve goals.

Required Qualifications: 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Technology related degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028.

  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement.

  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite of products and data analysis techniques.

  • Familiarity with AIpowered productivity tools (such as chatbased assistants and builtin features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, processes, and business challenges while using critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills to generate innovative, data-driven audit insights in a changing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute with a bias for action by prioritizing effectively, supporting audit management activities, and applying business reporting and analysis skills to drive operational excellence while demonstrating enterprise thinking across a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, build inclusive working relationships, apply influencing skills appropriately, and actively seek and incorporate feedback to support audit objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and a commitment to providing excellent service by understanding client and business needs, supporting audit activities with professionalism, and contributing to outcomes that drive meaningful business impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and sound financial judgment by supporting risk assessments, evaluating risk controls, and applying compliance requirements to help identify, manage, and mitigate risk in audit activities.

Pay Range

  • Charlotte, NC: $33.66 – $33.66/Hour

  • Irving, TX: 33.66 - $33.66/Hour

  • Minneapolis, MN: $37.02 - $37.02/Hour

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$31.25 - $47.60
